Here at FxPro, we’re delighted to offer our clients the opportunity to trade CFD on DAX Index Futures. DAX is calculated as the average weighted by capitalization value of the largest companies in Germany. Note that their capitalization is calculated only on the basis of shares in free circulation (free float). The index also takes into account the shares income, assuming that dividends are reinvested in company’s stocks. Thus, the index reflects the total return of the capital. DAX was created on July 1, 1988 and still is calculated by Deutsche Börse AG. DAX Index uses stock prices from the XETRA electronic exchange. The index is calculated on the XETRA working hours from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm (CET). In later time, Deutsche Börse AG calculates the L-DAX (Late DAX), which is an indicator of the DAX development after the exchange closes. The calculation of L-DAX is made on the basis of stock prices on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange every business day from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm Central European Time. Also, DAX Index affects significantly the dynamics of the European currency fluctuations. Actually, futures is a standardized forward contract to buy or sell an asset at a predetermined price at a specified time, known as an expiration date. If you want to diversify your trader’s portfolio invested in non-correlated asset class, take a closer look at the price fluctuations of the DAX Index Futures.
