In 1957, Danone merged with Gervais, which led to the emergence of new types of dairy products.
In 1973, the company Gervais-Danone merged with the glass concern BSN, which became the largest food manufacturer in France. In the mid-1970s, all forces were thrown into expanding the food sector. In the 1980s, the company continued to grow rapidly: in 1981, it acquired The Dannon Company in the USA, and in 1986, Generale Biscuit, and began producing cookies.
In 2007, Danone announced the sale of assets for the production of cookies, and the simultaneous purchase of the company Royal Numico (baby and health food), which marked the beginning of major strategic changes.
Today this brand is listed on the Euronext and its name is firmly established in our life.
