What is FTSE 100 Spot Index CFD index ({{name}})

This index is calculated by the FTSE Group independent company, which is jointly owned by the Financial Times agency and the London Stock Exchange (hence the second name of #UK100 – FTSE 100). It is considered one of the most influential stock market indicators in Europe. It was started to trade from the level of 1000 points since January 3, 1984. It reached the record level of 6950.6 points on December 30, 1999. After a dramatic fall during the financial crisis of 2007–2010 below the level of 3500, the index recovered to a significant peak of 6,091.33 points in 2011. It was the highest value since mid-2008. In the morning of September 23, 2011, FTSE100 fell below 5000. In 2012, the highest value was 5.586 points. The index is based on the stock prices of the 100 most capitalized companies listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). The total capitalization of the members of the FTSE100 list is 80% of the total LSE volume. Actually, futures is a standardized forward contract to buy or sell an asset at a predetermined price at a specified time, known as an expiration date. How we execute Indices CFDs
When you open a CFD position on indices with us, it will be aggregated and matched with other FxPro clients’ positions in the same market. Any excess exposure from our predefined in-house limits is hedged with our liquidity providers.
Corporate Actions
Price adjustments may be applied to eliminate the impact on clients’ trading accounts from a corporate action. Margin requirements may be subject to change before earnings announcements or any corporate action.
Dividends
If you hold an open position on shares or Indices at the start of the business day (Server Time 00:00), which coincides with the ex-date of the respective underlying asset, a dividend is paid (or charged in the case of short positions). For Buy positions, the payment will be net of any withholding tax implications.
Withholding taxes depend on the country where the stock is domiciled, and clients are responsible for reporting withholding taxes in their respective country of residence.
